sellerboard Review: Profit Tracking for Amazon Sellers

Ekaterina Rubtcova 7 min read

sellerboard

★★★★½ 4.5/5

Starting at $19/month

sellerboard is the profit tracking tool with the best value for money for Amazon sellers — practically essential from the second SKU onward.

Pros

  • True per-SKU profit calculation with all Amazon fees in real time
  • Automatic reimbursement tool finds Amazon errors and files cases
  • Cash flow and liquidity planning in one tool
  • PPC analysis per campaign and keyword
  • Inventory forecast with reorder alerts
  • Fair pricing: from $19/month, covers 1 marketplace

Cons

  • Interface looks slightly dated compared to newer tools
  • No DATEV integration (you need taxomate or similar for tax advisor handoff)
  • Forecast accuracy for seasonal products requires manual calibration

If you sell more than one product on Amazon and your per-SKU profit isn’t calculated automatically, you’re flying blind. That’s the honest reality. Amazon Seller Central shows you revenue, FBA fees, and ad spend — but not the true margin after cost of goods, shipping, import duties, packaging license, return costs, and PPC.

sellerboard is the tool that fills this gap. I’ve been using it at Daniks since 2019 and tested three competitors during that time. Here’s my honest review, no affiliate glamour.

What sellerboard Is

sellerboard is a profit analysis and operations tool for Amazon FBA and FBM sellers. It pulls data from your Seller Central account and calculates in real time:

  • Profit per order — after all Amazon fees, ad costs, refunds, promotions
  • Profit per SKU over any time period
  • Cash flow and liquidity planning for the next 90 days
  • PPC performance per campaign, keyword, and sponsored ad type
  • Inventory forecast with reorder alerts based on sales velocity and lead time
  • Reimbursements — automatic detection of Amazon errors (lost inventory, damaged returns, incorrectly calculated fees) and a submission tool for refund cases

Who sellerboard Is For

sellerboard is a fit if:

  • You sell more than 2 SKUs — with one product, Excel barely works; from 2 SKUs on, it gets painful
  • You want real margins, not just revenue — if you’re calculating “revenue minus cost of goods,” you’re missing 30–40% of your costs
  • You need cash flow visibility — when do you need to reorder, how much cash do you have in 30/60/90 days
  • You’ve lost reimbursement money — Amazon regularly makes mistakes with FBA inventory; sellerboard’s reimbursement tool finds them automatically

sellerboard is not a fit if:

  • You have very low sales volume (< 50 orders/month) — Excel is enough
  • You’re primarily looking for PPC automation (different tool category)
  • You need a DATEV accounting interface (sellerboard doesn’t have one; combine with taxomate)

Features in Detail

Per-SKU Profit Calculation

The headline feature and the main reason to buy sellerboard. You enter per SKU:

  • Cost of goods (COGS)
  • Shipping and import duty costs (per unit)
  • Packaging and handling costs (per unit)
  • Marketing or photography costs (optional, per unit)

sellerboard then automatically deducts:

  • Amazon referral fee (typically 15%)
  • FBA fulfillment fee (varies by size/weight)
  • Storage fees (ongoing + long-term)
  • Refunds and FBA reimbursements
  • PPC ad spend per order (proportionally allocated)
  • Promotion costs

Result: true net margin per order, in dollars/euros and percent, updated in real time.

In my Daniks experience, sellerboard showed me that one of our “good” products (according to the Seller Central dashboard) actually had only 6% net margin — after PPC, long-term storage, and returns were factored in. Without this tool, I would have kept pushing that product for months, assuming it was profitable.

Cash Flow Planning

The module many sellers overlook. sellerboard forecasts:

  • When the next Amazon payout arrives
  • How much cash you need in the next 30/60/90 days for reorders
  • What your liquidity situation looks like if you need to reorder two SKUs at once

During Daniks scaling, this module saved me from a cash flow hole: I was about to order two containers simultaneously — sellerboard showed me that the cash reserve only covered one without endangering ongoing Amazon fees.

Reimbursement Tool

Amazon regularly makes mistakes with FBA inventory:

  • Lost inventory — stock that can’t be found in the warehouse
  • Damaged returns — buyer returns the item, Amazon doesn’t send it back but forgets to reimburse you
  • Incorrectly calculated FBA fees — happens during size tier changes
  • Double refunds — Amazon refunds the buyer but forgets the product came back

sellerboard automatically scans your reports for these errors and prepares a reimbursement case you only need to submit. The success rate is high — over the last 3 years, I’ve recovered about 4,500 EUR through sellerboard that I never would have found manually.

This feature alone justifies the subscription.

PPC Analysis

sellerboard shows PPC performance per campaign, ad group, and keyword. Not at the depth of Adtomic or dedicated PPC tools — but good enough to identify and pause inefficient campaigns.

If you want serious PPC automation, combine sellerboard with a PPC tool. If you just want visibility into performance, sellerboard’s built-in analysis is sufficient.

Inventory and Reorder

sellerboard forecasts your inventory for 60–90 days and alerts you when a reorder is due. For seasonal products, you need to manually calibrate the forecast logic — the automatic estimate is based on historical sales, which can lead to over- or under-ordering for seasonal items.

Pricing

sellerboard has four tiers (as of April 2026):

  • Standard — $19/month — up to 3,000 orders/month, 1 marketplace, profit calculation, reimbursement tool, inventory forecast.
  • Professional — $29/month — up to 6,000 orders/month, 1 marketplace, all Standard features plus PPC analysis and cash flow planning.
  • Business — $39/month — up to 15,000 orders/month, 6 marketplaces, all Professional features.
  • Enterprise — $79/month — unlimited orders, all marketplaces.

My tip: start with Professional. Cash flow planning and PPC analysis are worth the $10 upgrade. Switch to Business once you sell on multiple marketplaces (e.g., Amazon.com and Amazon.de simultaneously, or Pan-EU).

Plans run monthly or annually (10% discount on annual subscription).

sellerboard vs. Helium 10 Profits vs. Excel

Three options I’ve tested:

  • Excel/Google Sheets — costs $0, works for 1 product. At 3+ SKUs, you spend 4 hours/week manually entering Amazon fees. Poorly maintained spreadsheets are the number one cause of insolvency among FBA beginners.

  • Helium 10 Profits (included in Helium 10 suite from $79/month) — decent if you already pay for Helium 10 for keyword research. Weaker than sellerboard at reimbursement detection and cash flow planning.

  • sellerboard — focused profit tool. Best reimbursement detection on the market. Not a keyword tool — combine with Helium 10 or Jungle Scout for research.

Where sellerboard Falls Short

Three honest weak points:

  1. Interface looks slightly dated. Functionally everything’s there, but the design hasn’t changed since 2018. If visual polish matters to you, check out Sellerise as a competitor — they have a more modern UI, but less reimbursement power.

  2. No DATEV integration. If your tax advisor needs data in DATEV format, you’ll need taxomate or a similar bridge tool in addition. sellerboard alone isn’t enough for the German tax advisor handoff.

  3. Seasonal forecast weakness. If you sell Christmas or summer seasonal products, you need to manually adjust the reorder forecast. The automatic logic miscalculates otherwise.

FAQ

What does sellerboard cost?

From $19/month on the Standard tier. Professional $29/month (my recommendation for most sellers). Business $39/month. Annual subscriptions with 10% discount.

Does sellerboard work with European Amazon marketplaces?

Yes, fully. All EU marketplaces are supported (DE, FR, IT, ES, NL, PL, etc.) as well as US, UK, JP, CA, AU.

Does sellerboard have a DATEV interface?

No. You’ll need a separate bridge tool like taxomate for that.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 1 month free, no credit card required. Long enough to test the profit calculation and reimbursement detection.

Is sellerboard better than Helium 10 Profits?

For pure profit tracking: yes. sellerboard has better reimbursement detection and the better cash flow module. Helium 10 Profits is okay if you already pay for Helium 10 and don’t want a dedicated profit tool.

Final Verdict

sellerboard is the best value profit tracking tool for Amazon — especially with the complex Pan-EU cost structures. From the second SKU onward, it’s practically essential. The combination of profit calculation, cash flow planning, and reimbursement detection pays for itself on most accounts within the first 6 months — through recovered Amazon reimbursements alone.

The weak points are real (dated design, missing DATEV bridge, seasonal forecast weakness), but manageable for day-to-day seller operations.

The full tool stack I run alongside it is on my tools recommendation page. For the strategic view: Amazon FBA Costs 2026.
